There are lots to choose from and depends if you want to go to the ocean or the Gulf of Mexico. If you are going to NASA, then also check out Cocoa Beach nearby for the ocean. About 90-minute drive for these. As for The Gulf, there are many near Tampa. Clearwater to St. Petersburg are around a 70 minute Drive. My favorite is Siesta Key by Sarasota, FL. I prefer the Gulf over the ocean as the water is calmer. This beach is 98% quartz sand and is always cool to the touch, even on the hottest days and is white as snow. It is about 90 minute drive. There is a great Premium Outlet mall on the way to Sarasota, in Ellenton, FL.
